David Hopkin will take charge of his first game with his new side coming into the game holding Raith to a 0-0 draw.
On the other hand, Heart’s continued their surge to promotion with a 2-1 win at home over Dundee last weekend.
This will be just the fourth meeting between the two sides, the first coming in 2011, which saw Ayr winning via penalties.
Hearts have won on the other two occasions, including the reverse fixture which finished 1-0 to the Edinburgh club.
How will tomorrow’s game play out?
We take a look…
1. Will Ayr United score in: 46-59
If The Honest Men are to score, there is every chance it will come in this 15 minute time period.
In fact, they have scored 18% of their goals in-between the 46-59th minute.
On the other hand, the hosts have conceded most of their goals in this time period, with 38% of their goals against coming then.
2. How many goals will Ayr United score? 1
Ayr have scored 22 goals this season but it certainly wouldn’t be unusual to see them score just the one goal.
In fact, they have done exactly that in 22% of their games on the road this season.
Hearts have kept just the two clean sheets from 10 on home soil so it wouldn’t be surprising to see The Honest Men score.
They have conceded 13 goals at Tynecastle Park this campaign, averaging 1.3 goals against per home game.
3. How many goals will Ayr United concede? 2
The Honest Men have a worse defensive record on the road compared to when they play at home.
With 14 conceded from nine matches, they are currently averaging 1.56 goals against per away game.
Meanwhile, the hosts have a very good goalscoring record when they play at Tynecastle.
They have scored exactly two goals in 30% of their home games, whilst also scoring 31 goals from 10 matches.
4. How many saves will Ayr United goalkeepers make? 4+
Viljami Sinisalo was forced to make three saves in the week, meaning he and Peter Urminsky have made 14 saves in the last five games.
That’s an average of 2.8 saves per game.
The Finnish keeper will likely be kept busy at the weekend, though.
Hearts have had 19 shots on goal in their last five, averaging 3.8 shots on target per game.
5. Will Michael Moffat score? No
The forward has three goals to his name this season, with just one of them coming in the league.
His only goal this campaign came in the 2-0 win over Dundee back in November.
This will be just his third meeting against Hearts in his career, failing to score in his previous two games against them.
6. How many corners will Ayr United be awarded? 4+
The Honest Men were awarded four corners in the last game, meaning they’ve now won 22 of them in their last five games.
That’s an average of 4.4 corners won per game.
As well as that, Ayr won four corners in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
- Will Tom Walsh score? No
- How many shots on target will Ayr United have? 3
- Will Luke McCowan score? No
- Will Cammy Smith score in the second half? No
- Will Ayr United be awarded a penalty? No
